A Celebration of Sorts – Sept. 16, 2008
The fifth annual A Celebration of Sorts sort-a-thon of Halloween BOO-tique merchandise Sept. 16 was bigger and better than ever! Some 600 volunteers were undaunted by the challenge – processing three semi-trailer trucks filled with boxes of Halloween items! They got all the work done, and had a great time doing it too. This event is co-sponsored by United Way Caring Connection. Volunteers came from Target, ING, Upsher-Smith Laboratories, UnitedHealthcare Group, SUPERVALU, Best Buy, Cub, 3M, Wells Fargo, Cargill, Ameriprise Financial, American Medical Systems, Emerson Process Management, SFM, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Hartford Life, Concordia Academy, Hopkins High School, Edina High School, North Star Roller Girls, Piper Jaffray, Toro, US Bank, BAE Systems, Hennepin County, General Mills, Medtronic, MTS Systems, U of M, Security Life and more!
