‘Tis the Season for Holiday Wear!
Happy December everyone! This blog post goes out to all you ladies out there! How many of you always wear a dress to a holiday function or feel like that’s your only option? I’m here to tell you, it’s not and it shouldn’t be. There are SO MANY different options, including layering or getting creative with items that you already have in your closet or pieces you can find for a few bucks at Arc’s Value Village. Here are some examples:
Gold Shimmer Top: $5.99
Believe it or not, this top is over an ivory spaghetti strap dress! To define the waist so it didn’t look frumpy, I took a clear hair binder and tied a simple knot on the front side. Now, it’s a skirt and a top!
J. Jill Gingham Skirt: $6.00
This sequin top is actually an oversized crop top. Nothing says “holiday festive” than sequin which is why I tucked it into this gingham skirt.
Loft Tweed Pants: $7.99
Layered Pearl Necklace: $16.99
Everyone gravitates towards black pants if they go this route for their holiday outfit. Try changing it up by wearing a texture such as these tweed pants. Besides sequin, nothing says winter fashion than tweed. To keep it holiday-festive, pair it with a nice blouse such as this silk short sleeve top.
If you want EVEN MORE holiday outfit tips and inspiration and if you haven’t heard or seen Arc’s Value Village invite yet, we will be hosting a Holiday Dressing by yours truly and the Thrift Stylist team on Saturday, December 14th from 11am-1pm at the New Hope location! We will also have a hair stylist attending to show you how to do a simple, elegant hairstyle for those parties of yours along with a vendor who will show you how to wrap all your presents creatively with recycled materials.
