Behind the Scenes Scoop: A Value Village Photo Shoot

Mindee is a regular VV shopper, bopping in whenever she has a few moments to spare.  She rarely leaves without a treasure or two – maybe she’ll snag a fab pair of heels, a cool toy for her young boys or some other unique find.

As a lover of all things Value Village, Mindee was eager to try out the new personal shopping service.  She had an appointment with me back in August at the St. Paul Value Village. If you’ve used the service before, I’m sure you can relate – Mindee left the store that day with a heaping cart full of stylish steals!

As the appointment came to a close, Mindee said, “Hey, I’d love to help promote your service!  Why don’t you do a guest post on the Chamber blog?”  As Member Services Director for the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, she can do that!

What an honor!  Of course I said yes!

For the guest posting, I wanted to showcase a weeks’ worth of thrifted style.  As a career woman, wife and mommy of two, Mindee’s wardrobe has to serve many functions.  This last week, we did a photo shoot with Mindee, featuring looks to suit all aspects of her busy life.  Here’s your behind the scenes sneak peak at our uber glamorous Value Village photo shoot:

Mindee with denim vest

The black and white top is actually a dress! With a few strategically placed clips securing it in back, it’s now serving as a shirt for this casual but cute look.

To beanie or not to beanie? That is the question. She tried it on; I tried it on (check out my wild bangs – static city!). You’ll have to wait for the official SPACC post to see whether we decided to beanie or not to beanie!

 Animal Print Shoes
Do you see those stilettos she’s rocking? She confided in me that she had rolled her ankle just the day before, but being the trooper she is, she insisted on putting the heels on to complete this sassy look!

Thriftinis

After a long hard day of fabulosity, we kicked back with a “thriftini” and a good laugh!
