Top 5 Thriftable Spring Trends
It’s no secret you can save a lot of money shopping at thrift stores. It can be overwhelming browsing through all of the clothes, but if you go into it knowing what you want, you’ll be sure to find that perfect outfit. There are a few Spring trends you may want to keep in mind while shopping this season as well as a few tricks to finding that piece that is “just right”.
Our personal shopper, Michelle Raven, suggests hitting the thrift store now to find your Spring clothes. Here are a few things you can keep an eye out for to stay on top of the trends for this season:

*Denim on Denim
Try pairing a denim or chambray shirt with a wide leg or bell bottom style pant. Keep a darker hue on the bottom to flatter the style. Denim on denim is a perfect back drop for any great accessory as well so try pairing it with a statement necklace. Michelle Raven says that there is never a shortage of denim at thrift stores, so this should be an easy find to start off with!
*Jumpsuits and all things ‘70s
Pair a fun jumpsuit with shorter heels for the perfect silhouette. You can also try pairing it with a fun hat for warmer and sunny days! Thrift stores are a gold mine for vintage pieces like jumpsuits, just be careful with patterns- you don’t want to overwhelm or underwhelm your shape. If you don’t feel comfortable in a full jumpsuit, try substituting for palazzo pant that still provides a fun flare.
*Athleisure trend
What does that mean, you say? Athletic meets leisure wear. It is comfort at its finest. Try a relaxed fit for the pants and top, then pair with a structured jacket- this gives shape to the outfit. Finish off with a pair of sneakers for a fun, comfortable and polished look.
*Floral prints
This is always a safe bet for Spring weather. Floral prints are a great way to make any outfit fun. They are practical for all types of wear. Try a skirt or dress paired with nice colored flats. Don’t be afraid to accessorize with a complementary color to avoid matching too much- just stray away from adding too many colors to the mix.
*Western- inspired wear
Cowboy boots will be all the rage for this season trend! They are perfect for pairing with a dress and a fun way to add a country inspired flare. Layer the dress with a jacket or chambray shirt to tie the outfit together.
